is now The Nebraska Half
April 19, 2025. Amazing Route.
Join us on April 19, 2025 as we return to the streets of downtown Omaha. The 2025 Nebraska Half starts and finishes at the spectacular Gene Leahy Mall and winds through the downtown Omaha streets, across the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge into Iowa and back to finish at The Gene Leahy Mall.
Three distances:
13.1 5K 1 Mile Kids Run
We are thrilled to announce that 2025 will feature 3 great distances: A half marathon, a 5k and The Kids 1 mile fun run.
BACK FOR 2025 Kids FUN RUN
The Kids Run is open to kids ages 13 and under. This event will start at 10:30 am and all participants will receive a Finisher Medal.

The race starts & finishes at the all new Gene Leahy Mall in downtown Omaha.
The half marathon route will wind through the historic Old Market District and traverse the streets of downtown Omaha. Runners will cross the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge over into Iowa, then back into Nebraska to finish under the arch on the 11th Street Promenade on the all-new Gene Leahy Mall complex.

FAQs
What happens if it rains?
The race will go on rain or shine and will only be cancelled or postponed if weather conditions present imminent danger to participants. We will update you throughout race week via email and social media.
Are there registration refunds if I can’t run?
No. We will not issue refunds for this race.
Can someone pick up my race packet for me?
Yes. Please make certain they know your first and last name and distance.
How many water stops are there and where are the bathrooms located?
There will be water stops approximately every two to three miles along the route as well as bathrooms throughout the course and at start/finish lines. There will be Gatorade at several of the stops as well. There will not be GU or gels provided along the route.
Are there time limits?
All 13.1 mile registrants must agree to the 3 hour 15 minute time limit.
What are the minimum age requirements to participate?
The minimum ages to compete are as follows:
Half Marathon: 10 years old
5k: 5 years old
Fun Run: Ages 4-13
Will there be a Bag Check?
No there will be no gear check this year.
When Should I Arrive?
Please be in the starting line area 15 minutes prior to your starting time.
